Under the Palm Tree

Welcome friends I am so happy you are here, I am Bethany and it is a joy to bless you, encourage you and empower you!

As I was seeking the Lord for His heart and intensions for this blog, I had an unction to share why He gave me “Under the Palm Tree”. It was in June 2023 when I heard a sound in my spirit that echoed the words “Under the Palm Tree, I immediately started pressing in close to hear what the Lord had to say and was lead on a seeking mission that arrested my heart. At first I was sensing the direction of a podcast, I began to walk in obedience towards starting a podcast but ended up never receiving a grace on it. I laid it all down, I knew if the Lord had intended on me doing anything significant with “Under the Palm Tree”, He would continue to lead the way. It was the beginning of this year where I received a stirring to start blogging again, I already had a blog website from a few years ago and so I began to start getting that blog up and running again. A few weeks into it, I received a course correction as I was stirred to add features like audio and video to the website but my last blog website didn’t have the set up for those features. Back to the drawing board, I laid it down again and waited on the Lord for direction. He began to lead me towards getting a new website built with the extra features and to change the name to “Under the Palm Tree”. Here we are after a long season of surrendering to course corrections, waiting on the Lord, not being hasty but to be wise and tarry for the Grace.

Palm Tree’s hold such potency both in the spiritual and natural realms, rich in Biblical symbolism ranging from it’s stature, to it’s branches, leaves and different kinds of fruit. In the ancient world, the palm tree wasn’t just a tree. It was a symbol of righteousness, joyful victory, faith, worship, prosperity, peace, blessings, virtues, life, wisdom, holiness, and leadership; its upright stature mirrors the moral uprightness expected of righteous judgment. They are resilient and can thrive in desert conditions because of their deep roots, producing the most exotic appearance and delightful fruit even in harsh climates. This adaptability and life-sustaining trait made them a symbol of vitality and supernatural providence, representing stability and resourcefulness in a landscape where such attributes were vital for survival. The palm tree is mentioned throughout the entire Bible, from the book of Genesis to the book of Revelation, and the ancient date palm tree is known as the world’s oldest fruit-bearing tree. It is the perfect supplier of food, shelter, medicine, and a full resource of nurturing sustenance and provision to heal, build, and thrive in any condition. I could keep going on about the significance of palm trees; however, the image I want to communicate is that the palm tree is a symbolism of Jesus Christ, and as He is, so are we.

Yes! Look how you’ve made all your devoted lovers to flourish like palm trees, each one growing in victory, standing with strength! You’ve transplanted them into your heavenly courtyard, where they are thriving before you, for in your presence they will still overflow and be anointed. Even in their old age they will stay fresh, bearing luscious fruit and abiding faithfully. Listen to them! With pleasure they still proclaim: “You’re so good! You’re my beautiful strength! You’ve never made a mistake with me.” Psalm 92:12-15

So much rich meaning in those verses, speaking about the spiritual rebirth we have full access to through Jesus Christ. I encourage each one of you to allow this Word of the Lord to wash over you and ask the Holy Spirit to open it up so you can partake of its potent substance. The profound significance of calling this blog “Under the Palm Tree” comes from the book of Judges. Deborah sat under a Palm Tree called “the Palm of Deborah” to mother the nation of Israel. It served as a bridge between the high exalted places (strongholds of the carnal flesh) in the natural realm known as Ramah and the High Exalted Place of God’s House in the spiritual realm known as Bethel. There, she imparted the heart and mind of God to a divided nation lacking godly wisdom, understanding, revelation knowledge, discernment, profound insight, love, truth, and justice. Deborah was known as a fiery woman, which means she was a wild one who carried a multifaceted anointing that burned like many torches. Where God told her to sit and mother the nation was very significant, serving as a plumbline—a righteous standard—to expose the hidden operations of the wicked and bring deliverance, healing, righteous justice and restoration to the sons and daughters of God.

The heart of the Lord for this blog is to serve as a place to sit under His grace-shadow (under the palm tree), to encounter Him through His Word, to taste His potent love, wisdom, glory, peace, truth, discernment, understanding, insight, and revelation, to receive deliverance, healing, restoration, establishment of your Christ identity, growth, and maturity. I will be sharing deeper truths from the Word to be used as tools and keys for your intimate hunger and seeking with the Lord, imparting wisdom, courageous faith, love, encouragement, empowerment, and Godly perspectives for your growth and maturity in Christ. This is a place to be trained and equipped for your Kingdom destiny. My heart burns to see sons and daughters of God ascend in their sonship identity, transformed into a New Creation Wineskin that produces everlasting fruit and becomes a drink offering of New Wine to the nations. It fills my heart with joy to see God’s Kingdom advance in Power and Glory through yielded lives. I believe this to be the greater works, and the most creative miracle, sign, and wonder in the Kingdom is to experience a rebirth, a new DNA from an incorruptible seed that recreates a new nature, a new heart, a new soul, a new mind filled with power, glory, peace/wholeness, joy, renewed imagination, supernatural believing, and the mind of Christ. This is destiny breaking forth, First Love set on fire, and the potency of Resurrection Light. Amen!

“So shall they fear The name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.” Isaiah 59:19

One of the ways the Lord raises a standard is to open up the deeper truths and riches of His Word and use the vessels He has prepared ahead of time to pour it out as a drink offering, stirring up hunger for more of Him in the nations. We are definitely living in a time of Isaiah 60:2, with deep darkness covering the people and the earth. BUT because of this, the Lord will arise over us, and His glory will be seen upon us. Yes and Amen to that!

It is an honor to be chosen in this time to be a vessel that He uses to raise the standard, to be used for restoration by pouring out deeper truths of His Word to those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. It is a joy to be brought into the Kingdom for such a time as this. I believe this is the best time to be alive, and our best days are ahead. The capacity of the courageous faith on my life is solely based on the character of my Lord. His character is my firm foundation, and from this position, I am blessed with all that I need to be equipped for the assignment. What a joy it is to be immersed in Christ. I trust that the Lord will pour into each one of you exactly what you need to stir up a holy desire to hunger for more of Him, to provoke your heart to yield to His love, to receive His fulfilling Word, and to break up and break open new ground to receive, nurture, and produce a plentiful harvest in any condition. My heart’s desire is to provoke you to courageous faith and radical obedience in the secret place of intimacy and consecration first, and then rest in the finished work of Christ to fulfill the destiny He has already chosen and anointed you to accomplish. Where many Christians get out of alignment is in not trusting the firm foundation of grace through faith. It is our carnal flesh nature to “do, prove, and produce in our own efforts,” a tendency of an orphan heart that lacks the foundation of sonship in Christ. This hidden work of the devil is on the Father’s heart to expose, bringing righteous justice through deliverance and deep healing, to establish wholeness in His sons and daughters and restore our full inheritance in sonship. We are human beings, not human doings. Our “doings” need to effortlessly flow from the foundation of our “being in Christ.” There is a place for practical disciplines along the growth journey; however, we must always rely on the Lord to guide even our practical steps, or else we will get caught up in what easily entangles us. There is so much on my heart. The new wine He is producing in me is potent, and the anointing that breaks the yoke is being unleashed in greater measures. I trust that every desire of the Father’s heart for each one of you through the anointing on my life will be accomplished, and that the blessing of the Lord will multiply in and through your life.

“We have become His poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny He has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!” Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭10‬

This blog will be structured more like a devotional that brings you wisdom and truth. As the Lord leads, I will be teaching on deeper truths and insights, which I will also record as an option for you to either read or listen to. I bless you in this season and declare that the Word of God over your life will not return to Him void but will go forth in power to accomplish everything it was sent to do. Hallelujah, Amen! We lift up Your Holy name, YHWH, El Shaddai, Jehovah, and Adonai, and we declare that Your face will dwell and be seen over our existence, and Your grace and glory will overshadow us. We give you all the glory, honor, and praise. We love you, and we offer up our lives to the only One who is worthy of it all. Praise the Lord, Amen!

Until next time, Grace and Peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ,

Bethany ❤️
